Social Video Conference and Chat like TinyChat

This project is based on Elgg (an open source social networking engine) and VideoWhisper Video Conference , 2 Way Video Chat plugins.

Elgg is an award-winning social platform, delivering the tools and resources that enable businesses, schools, universities, groups and associations to create their own fully-featured social network.

Internet based video conference software is great for bringing physically distant people together in meetings, trainings, conferences, live events, recruiting, consultations, coaching and of course casual community chat.
Web based video conferencing solutions bring people together instantly and without travel costs and time loss.

The web based video chat plugin can easily be installed on Elgg to enable p2p 2 way video chat. Users are allowed to create unlimited video chat rooms where 2 participants can video chat using their webcams and microphones. This creates features similar to tinychat video calls for webmasters that want to build a clones or alternatives.

Users can show latest rooms they created on their profile and dashboard with widgets and also these are displayed on the wall (river). This is inteded for private 1 on 1 video chat so users can make video chat rooms accessible just for their friends or groups. This way others will not disturb.

All You Need, Step by Step

1. A cool domain (Optional, as you can install it on a subdomain/folder if you already have a site)
2. Compatible hosting (web + rtmp). (Recommended: Wowza Hosting )
3. Elgg installed on web host.
4. VideoWhisper Chat and Conferencing Plugins for Elgg installed on web and rtmp host.
5. A Level 2 VideoWhisper license to remove all ads and limitations from chat plugins. (Optional, as you can use VideoWhisper software in free mode.)

An you should be ready.
Then it’s up to you: other customizations, like a cool custom template, monetization features like ads or paid membership to allow more quality advanced rooms.
